James Pierson

James Pierson serves as MEDIC's President and COO. With roots in the EMS field, Pierson joined Medic Ambulance Service, Inc. in 2001, starting as a system support technician and dispatcher. He has excelled in various roles at MEDIC, demonstrating exceptional leadership.

Under his guidance, the MEDIC team achieved five successful CAAS reaccreditations, reflecting his expertise in EMS leadership. Pierson's commitment to excellence is evident with a remarkable 98% compliance rate with the Solano County EOA Contract, a testament to his dedication as an operational leader.

Pierson plays a crucial role as the primary liaison and contract administrator for the public-private partnership with Solano County Fire Departments. His dedication and accomplishments in the field have not gone unnoticed, as he received recognition, including the 2007 California Ambulance Association Star of Life, 2018 State of California EMT-Paramedic of the Year, and the 2019 State of California Meritorious Service Medal.

In addition to his role at MEDIC, Pierson actively contributes to the EMS community as President of the California Ambulance Association and a Member of the California Hospital Association EMS/Trauma Committee, showing his commitment to advancing the industry.

James has achieved the prestigious title of Fellow of the American College of Paramedic Executives (FACPE) and holds certifications as an Ambulance Compliance Officer (CACO) and Ambulance Privacy Officer (CAPO), further showcasing his dedication to continuous professional development.
